Apostolic Life

Our Primary concern is to witness Jesus through our exemplary life, and evangelize the people and lead all to unity, especially those who are broken away from the Catholic Church. It is the expressed desire of the Founder, that we always remain a missionary Congregation, imbibing the missionary zeal of St. Francis of Assisi. He taught us that our apostolate may very from place to place and time to time, but our basic spirit should remain missionary. He also reminds us that we must often evaluate and up to date our mode of operation in our field of apostolate. Mother Mary, the co-foundress, has well integrated active and contemplative life in her apostolic activities. She had great concern to the poor and marginalized.

Pastoral Ministry
Most of the sisters are entrusted with a parish to assist the parish priest in the pastoral care of the faithful. Catechetical teaching, family prayer, music ministry, active involvement in pious associations, preparations of children for the first holy communion, marriage preparation, adult sacramental education and visitation of the sick and suffering are the main parochial ministries our sisters involved in. Summer camps for children, annual retreats, vocation classes for youth and adults, preparation for the local and regional religious conventions, for Christmas and Easters are also part of our activities. By all these we are able to lead the people, to deepen their faith and active participation in the Liturgy and enable them to think and act with the Church.

Evangelization
One of the major tasks of the founders was evangelization, which was made possible through house visiting, Bible reading and organizing prayer groups. Special classes are organized for Scripture study. While visiting houses, sisters give importance for the sacramental life, especially by encouraging them to attend Sunday mass and to receive the sacrament of Confession and Holy Communion. Both the sick and old people are visited regularly and give them necessary assistance (financial and spiritual). Sisters willingly come forward to work among the poor and marginalized.

Mobile Mission Teams
Consist of three or four sisters are constituted to work in the parishes. They live few weeks in a house in the parish. When a mobile team is in a parish they go around visiting each and every house and bring them together in the Evenings and arrange special classes, retreats, prayer meetings, holy Hour etc. to strengthen their and at times they conduct even cultural programmes.

An evangelization centre is constructed adjacent to the first founding house at Marthadom. One sister is in charge for conducting prayer, Bible study and counselling. Many people come there and are relieved from mental agonies and family problems. In 2008 we started an evangelization and counselling training center for short term and long term training for the sisters.

Most of our sisters participated in the training programmes of Kerygma course which was very helpful for the evangelization. To encourage Ecumenism, seminars are conducted among the people of different faith to promote universal brotherhood.
